3 Perfect Days in Seattle



Here's the best way to do Seattle-
All our expectations about the Grunge Capital of the World have been validated:
Yes, everybody either wears a plaid shirt or something striped or mystical and flowy and there are tattoo parlors and coffee houses on every corner....and we're channeling the Nirvana disdain for teen spirit and all things wholesome. That's not to say, however, that we don't want to do Seattle right- we're staying in a great hotel, eating in fabulous restaurants and generally doing the due diligence necessary to make it perfect for you when you come.
The Alexia Hotel-
We found our way to the four starAlexia Hotel via Hotwire. It has a great Downtown location on 1st Avenue, only a few blocks from the Market. We paid $88 a night, but I failed to indicate that we needed a room with two beds, so I had to pay more than double that to rent an additional room. Typical of me. It's a funky hotel with a modern vibe. Here's what the lobby looks like...
